Comic Book Reviews: The Walking Dead

Filed under: All, Reviews - Books - Administrator @ 7:45 am

If you don’t already know, I really enjoy a good zombie story. I’ve never been a big comic book fan, but this series is one I’ll make an exception for.
The Walking Dead Vol. 1: Days Gone Bye
The Walking Dead Vol. 2: Miles Behind Us
The Walking Dead Vol. 3: Safety Behind Bars

It’s about time someone made a good zombie story. As much as I enjoy the “classic” zombie films I am annoyed by the rampant stupidity of the characters. In these books the characters do some foolish things but you can more easily see their personal thought process versus a lame plot device. “What nobody’s been eaten by a zombie for a while? Well I better wander off my myself…”

And unlike other comic books where the main characters wear capes and spandex you’ll see no brightly colored caped crusaders here. Everyday people drawn in a simple black and white, very stylish I think.

But don’t take my word for it check them out! You may have to be logged into amazon for this link to work: Look at the first few pages of Volume 1!

I also see that the forth book is on it’s way!
The Walking Dead Vol. 4: The Heart’s Desire
