The Poet’s Prayer

August 1, 2005

There is a poetic-prayer that appears on the sidebar of my blog. I think it’s nifty and that others may very well like to use it on their own sites (besides, it’s good PR for me).
You may use this poem on your site provided you don’t claim it as your own work. You may also change the title to: “The Blogger’s Prayer” if you find that is more appropriate to your site.

It would also be nice if you would put a link back to this site along with it. However if you’re not technologically inclined a simple “by Jeremy Steingraber” will suffice. Thanks.

The Poet’s Prayer
Guide these fingers as they type,
My mind is prone to wander.
Put meaning into what I write,
My talents not to squander.

Protect me from the critics rage,
Please guard me in my youth.
Guide my pen across the page,
And turn my ink to truth.
Amen.
